Gadolinium Oxide

Description

Gadolinium oxide is specially used as a component of high refractive index glass in the glass industry. Gadolinium oxide is used together with lanthanum to help change the glass transition zone and improve the thermal stability of glass. The nuclear industry is used in nuclear reactor control rods, neutron absorption materials in atomic reactors, magnetic bubble materials, sensitizing screen materials, etc. Gadolinium oxide can also be used to make capacitors, X-ray sensitivities and gadolinium garnet material.

Application

Gadolinium Oxide is mainly used to make metal Gadolinium, Gd-Fe alloy, Memory storage units, optical glasses, solid state magnetic refrigerating medium, inhibitor, it is also used as SmCo magnet additive, activator for X-Ray intensifying screen.
