In the late 1980s, in the backward countryside of China's northern plains, the planned economy was still dominant. As a rural leader at the time, Jia's grandfather began organizing villagers to make willow crafts in order to stop them from starving, and they successfully exported crafts made of wolfberry willow to foreign countries, and Jia's grandfather helped the village escape from poverty.

In the mid-1990s, by the reform and opening up and the impact of the market economy, the collective economy gradually collapsed, Jia's grandfather began to organize the villagers to engage in timber processing again, and organized the establishment of timber cooperatives, solved the employment problem of dozens of families.

Jia's grandfather has been contributing to the village all his life, because during the 1960 famine, a bowl of hot porridge from the villagers saved Jia's grandfather, who had been abandoned by the side of the road and was dying. As a result, Jia's grandfather has always told Jia that he hopes Jia can be as responsible for his community as he has been, so that the community's residents have sufficient granaries and families are well off. This is also the origin of the brand name "lecang" (direct translation: happy granary).

Because her family has always been in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry, Jia started her own company after graduating from college and named it Lecang in honor of her grandfather, which means "happy granary" or "plenty of granary". At the same time, he hoped that his business could benefit the society and make every family happy.

After nearly a decade of operation, Lecang has formed a biochemical (Lecbio), solar energy systems (PVhelper), agriculture (Legranary), heat treatment (Asia Therm), packaging industry (Lec Pak) and other business segments.
